Kutz Family

The Kutz’s can be described in one of my most favorite words: FUN!!!! They are playful, silly, and super sweet. Sam and Jake received my praise multiple times for being polite and expressing gentlemanly manners. On top of that they made me laugh for about 20 minutes straight.

I have relationships with 100% of my clients and that is no exception here. I adore the Kutz’s and value their friendship dearly.

I pick songs to describe all of my sessions and I chose this one because of their awesome attitudes and the way they enjoy life :)

MY PICK:

Lyric: “These are the days now that we must savour And we must enjoy as we can These are the days that will last forever”

Song: These are the Days by Van Morrison

Hairston Family

This was a maternity shoot I had been looking forward to for quite some time!!! I work with Karen and have watched little Grant grow everyday. Her family is very special to me and that makes moments like this even more fun. The best times from these photos were just too many to count. Including, but not limited to: Kora and mommy time in the grass, John Michael riding in the very back of the car (which the kids thought was especially interesting), the family spelling Grant’s name with blocks, getting the sun into the camera just right, Lance’s fascination with the motorcycles, the food messes, John Michael’s gangster pose, and the overall joy that oozes from their hearts for one another!! The Hairston’s are inspirational and I was honored to photograph their special moment as a family waiting for their newest addition.

MY PICK
Their lyric: On a clear day, how it will astound you, That the glow of your BEING outshines every star.
Song: On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever) by Frank Sinatra

Harrison ((H-Man))

His lyric:  “Sweet pea, apple of my eye, don’t know when and I don’t know why, you’re the only reason I keep on comin’ home.”

Song: Sweet Pea by Amos Lee

Wonderful nephew of mine, thank you for being my go-to-guy with my camera!!! You are more than a darling with that adorable smile and those flashy eyes!! I also thank you for being my guinea pig and my first-many-everything, including first photo shoot on the blog.

NEW BLOG….

Hello friends!!

In my efforts to create a more lively and fun website I have had to dump my old blog. I sure didn’t want to do that but I only completed 4 entries on it from sessions and I felt that it was ok to look at this from a fresh standpoint!!

I am MORE than excited to have my new site up and running!!!! It is coming together perfectly and has so much room for growth. I wanted to let you know how I plan to run all of this…..

  1. My website is for new clients, to display newsletters, to give a calendar displaying open session times, and to present a portfolio to the world :)
  2. My blog will show photo sessions and all clients will be free to share the link publicly if they so choose. The blog will display images at a web-quality and will also carry my new logo!! I recommend using it for showing off but not for printing purposes. You would be very disappointed in the quality of those if you try. I also plan to use my blog for showing style ideas and your everyday fun blogging/journal entries. A business is great but I will definitely be personalizing it!!!! You can expect art, writing, music, recipes, and things I love!
  3. My Facebook page will be for letting all to see what I have going on!!!!! I have some GREAT ideas in the works for mini sessions, collaborating with local businesses, and will continue the “Photo of the day”. I am a HUGE fan of interacting on a regular basis with clients and friends so you are more than welcome to use Facebook or my blog to do that.

Please hang in there while I get everything started. This is new and I am an explorer. I will be venturing all over the web-world in efforts to make this the best experience possible for you and for me!!!

THANKS, Valerie
